It is a quiet eventide
when the hardened snow
got melted by the heavy rainfall
and everyone in town
sits next to the fire
or heaters inside their homes.
Been so amazed lately
over God's wonderful gifts
in my humble, ordinary life.
The gift of my wife Marl
The gift of many years
of intellectual and spiritual formation
The gift of travel and many people
who became my teachers
in the art of living.
Just went to a meeting online today
and as I listened to the sharing
my heart was overwhelmed
by lofty feelings of thankfulness
for this new lease in life
a great and promising life
in the very center of human history
a celebration of the giftedness
of each and every moment
so tinged with sacred imprints
in the spectrum of faith, love and life!
Breathing deeply
not with a sigh
but of deep awareness
how life gets better
and emerges more beautiful
each day, just because
I have chosen to believe
I have decided to love
I have paused and prayed
to sing my thanks and praise
to God, the giver of all good gifts!

Transformation
What truly sparks
a transformation
is the inside self
when its attuned
with that inner light
of pure being in a soul.
In prayer
and contemplation
just being
listening, breathing
comes the moment
peaceful and quiet
a change from within
opens the new light out.
Each one has to find
a way to come home
where God truly dwells
within the soul
and each way is unique
to each traveler
along the lines of prayer.
Maybe in one moment
unexpected in its
ordinariness and silence
a touch of the divine
is felt and seen
in the awareness
only one loving heart
can perceive so calmly.
Oh, may we find each other
basked in the love divine
where everything created
was formed and made
and transformed in holiness
never again to languish
in the saga of human insanity
deprived of true meaning and purpose.
Today, let us celebrate
another borrowed time
another gifted life
another sparkling hope
for life is good and beautiful
when shared in love and joy
as we come and gather in unity
to sing as one a song of gratitude!
a transformation

Purpose of My Life
The purpose of my life
is in the imagination
that I am a living house
God comes in to transform
this house to what I cannot
perceive nor understand.
Oh He is indeed the God
of many beautiful surprises!
He cleans up the drains
and stops the roof leaks
paints the walls and ceilings
and changes the tiles
and upgrade the bathrooms.
But then one day He decides
to just knock the house down
and it hurts and its senseless.
Oh why is He doing this?
All I thought He just wants
to make some improvement
so I can be settled down
and just live a decent life.
But He is building a palace!
He does not want just a house
for me to live, but a castle
for Him to abide as well.
All He asks of me
is to step aside and allow Him
to finish and complete
what He has started to do
throughout all these years
of my awesome and wonderful life!
